Most of MixNight runs on your own device. We keep as little as we can, we don't sell data, we don't run adverts or tracking, and we don't use your music for advertising.

A guest's photo is only shown through that bar's own pages, to people with the bar's code. It's never public and never used for anything else. Please only add a photo of yourself.
MixNight uses YouTube API Services to play videos. When a video plays, YouTube (Google) receives information about your device and what you watch, under its own terms. See the Google Privacy Policy and the YouTube Terms of Service. We never receive your Google password. If you've ever granted MixNight access to your Google account, you can revoke it at any time at security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.
If you connect Apple Music, Apple handles sign-in and playback. We use Apple Music data only to run MixNight. We never share it with third parties, use it to identify you or your device, or use it for advertising.
When lyrics are switched on, our server looks up the song's artist and title on LRCLIB. Only the song details are sent, never anything about you.
Our hosting provider, Render, which runs our servers and database; our email provider, only if you use email sign-in; and authorities, where the law requires it. Nobody else. We don't sell data and we don't use advertising or analytics trackers.
Our providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is covered by UK adequacy regulations or the ICO's International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
MixNight uses your browser's local storage and a sign-in cookie only to make the app work. There are no advertising or analytics cookies. YouTube and Apple may set their own cookies when their players load; see their policies above.
MixNight is for adults (18+). We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you think a child's data has been added, contact us and we'll delete it.
You can ask to see, correct, delete or get a copy of your data, or object to how we use it. Email hello@mixnight.app and we'll reply within a month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Connections are encrypted (HTTPS), PINs are stored only as one-way hashes, and access to the database is limited to what's needed to run MixNight.
We'll update the date below when this policy changes and flag significant changes in the app.
